Ruhrtriennale 2009

Like I posted already will Anna give a concert together with Massimo Giordano at the Ruhrtriennale in Bochum on 13th September. So I got yesterday the whole programm of the Ruhrtriennale, but I was too shocked cause of Rolando for posting anything about this =(

So looks the programme look like ->

And here is the site about the concert called "VIVO!" ->

Here is a part of what stands there :

"The miraculous discovery ot the young Russian soprano Anna Netrebko, who became the wonder of Salzburg with her Donna Anna and Violetta, has meant she is now one of the best-known international singing stars. She appears for the first time at the Ruhrtriennale singing duets and arias from operas by composers such as Donizetti, Verdi Gonoud and Puccini. Her partner is one the great tenor-hopefuls, the Italian tenor, Massimo Giordano."

A friend of mine told me, that the tickets were already sold out at 10:00 o'clock !!! That's what I call "the Anna-effect" ;)

Tickets sold out instantly - as you rightly say Christina it is the "Anna effect". I don't know anybody else who has the same box office appeal as Anna. The same thing happened in Zurich where she has just made her debut, with thousands of applications having to be returned. It is all the more amazing bearing in mind ticket prices are quite expensive, especially in the present difficult economic climate. Sadly because of my recent hip operation I have just had to put my ticket for her London concert on 19th May up for sale on eBay, having originally purchased it within minutes of the tickets going on sale last September. To say I am disappointed is an understatement.

Believe me Brian, I can really understand how disappointed you must be now !! I'm so sorry for you !! I wish you only all the best for your health and that the ticket buyer really earns the ticket !!!!
