Netrebkos Staatsopern-Rückkehr stürmisch gefeiert

Mit stürmischem Applaus hat das Wiener Opernpublikum am Samstag die Rückkehr eines Stars gefeiert: Anna Netrebko hat bei ihrem ersten Auftritt nach ihrer Babypause in der Staatsoper eine hinreißende "Lucia di Lammermoor" gegeben und dabei keinen Zweifel daran gelassen: Sollte sich ihre Stimme in ihrer Auszeit verändert haben, dann keinesfalls ins Schlechtere.

Die Aufführung wurde zur Feierstunde für diejenigen Opernfans, die tiefgehende Emotion mehr zu schätzen wissen als pure Stimmakrobatik. Verdienten Jubel gab es auch für George Petean als Enrico und Giuseppe Filianoti als Edgardo sowie Marco Armiliato am Pult. Denn der Abend war keineswegs "nur" eine "Netrebko-Show": Insbesondere Filianoti entwickelte einen starken eigenen Glanz, und auch aus dem Graben kam Frische im Klang und Schwung in der Interpretation.
Für den zauberhaftesten Moment des Abends sorgten die sphärischen Klänge der Glasharmonika, die erstmals die Wahnsinns-Arie der Donizetti-Oper in der Staatsoper begleiteten. Netrebko hauchte ebenso zart wie der ephemere Klang des schwingenden Glases das Leben der Lucia aus - da machte auch die trist-verstaubte Inszenierung nichts mehr.
Klang Netrebko auch anfangs etwas rau in den extremen Höhen, so entfaltete sich im Laufe des Abends wieder jene faszinierende, volle, perfekt kontrollierte Stimme, mit der die Austro-Russin hinzureißen vermag. Und vor allem auch jene Überzeugungskraft im darstellerischen Ausdruck, die man so auf Opernbühnen selten sieht.
Die Rückkehr der Wahl-Österreicherin auf die heimische Bühne wurde nach drei Stunden bejubelt wie ein Popkonzert: Zahlreiche Digitalkameras hielten den Schlussapplaus für die privaten Fotoalben der Opernfans fest, wer aber die Hände frei hatte, spendete Standing Ovations. Netrebko, die nach der Babypause bereits u.a. an der Met in New York auf der Bühne stand, strahlte sichtlich erfreut ins Publikum zurück.

Netrebko's state opera return tempestuously celebrated

For the most enchanting moment of the evening cared the glass harmonicas' spherical sounds, which accompanied for the first time the Donizetti-opera's madness-scene at the state opera. Netrebko exhaled as much tender as the ephemeral sound of the swinging glass Lucia's life - than also the trist-fusty staging didn't matter anymore.
Sounded Netrebko a little bit rough in the extrem highs at the beginning, so she flowered out again in the course of the evening those fascinating, full, perfect controlled voice, with which the Austria-Russian is able to enchante. And most notably also those persuasiveness in the artistic expression, which you see like this not very often at the opera stages.
The return of the choice-Austrian to the domestic stage was acclaimed lik a pop concert after three hours: Scores of digital cameras recorded the final applause for the opera fans' privat photo albums, but who could, contributed standing ovations. Netrebko, who stood already after the baby break inter alia at the stage at the Met in New York, beamed visibly delighted back to the audience.
