When I buy opera tickets my choice is based on the leading performers, not the actual opera. With no disrespect to Iveri and Workman, they are not Netrebko and Villazon. As has already been said Villazon's withdrawal is no real surprise, but we should be given an explanation for Netrebko's withdrawal. Opera tickets are very expensive, and the people responsible for managing these stars should be careful not to bite the hand that feeds them.
Yeah Brian I agree with you ! Canceling is always bad for the fans ! They fighted for getting a ticket and payed a lot of money for the ticket itself and maybe also for flight and accomodation. I'm only happy that they cancelled so relatively early that people have the chance to cancel everything and get back the money.
